Red Hair Fortress, also known as the former British Consulate in Taipei and the official residence, was called Santo Domingo City and Fort Anthony in ancient times. It is a historic site located in Tamsui District, New Taipei City, Taiwan. The first city to be built was the "City of Santo Domingo" built by the Spaniards who ruled northern Taiwan in 1628, but later the city of Santo Domingo was destroyed. In 1644, the Dutch rebuilt it near the original site of the city of Santo Domingo and named it "Fort Antony". And because the Han people called the Dutch people Hongmao at that time, this city was called "Hongmao City" by them.
