Van Nelle (tobacco) wanted to have his factory next to the railway, not to transport tobacco but as advertisement: so people would know the brand. Now UNESCO world heritage and a venue for ART Rotterdam and other events. A guided tour is possible via city rotterdam tours. Ps the orange low building next to it is the city prison.
