Access the lake by heading south on Pershing two blocks to Douglas. Turn right; proceed 4 blocks till Douglas ends at Lakeshore. Make a sharp left to parking lot and beach. The entrance further down Eastlake (towards Carson City) provides picnic grounds and lake access as well as many hiking trails.
