The Palace of Conventions has been the venue for numerous national and international conferences and events, the headquarters of the VI and XIV Conference-Summit of the NAM, the celebration of international congresses on health, education and culture, as well as being the permanent headquarters of the ordinary and extraordinary sessions of the National Assembly of People's Power (Parliament) of Cuba. In its 15 halls, intellectuals, national and international figures and the Cuban people have gathered. It also has the hotel Palco, which with its 178 rooms is an excellent place to stay during the celebration of international events of great magnitude.
