Chef and restaurateur Austin Hu of Madison and Yao Lu (formerly of Alchemist and The Public) combine forces for this cocktail lounge. Yao Lu contributes a list of inventive original cocktails and old-timey classics. Expect lots of stiff drinks with liberal lashings of bourbon, brandy and homemade infusions.

The Union is a bit further away from the flat, but well worth it. A small bar packing a lot of heat. Yao Lu - recently China winner of Chivas Masters bartender competition - has trained an amazing team of bartenders, together with whom he created a surprising drinks list : twists on classic cocktails with excellent and enticing names ... the signature cocktail list at its best. In the spirit of openness emanating from the Chinese born / America bred Yao, the atmosphere is friendly and busy. A great place to socialize around a great drink. Also by far the best bar food in town, developed by renown chef Austin Hu ( Madison )
