This Michelin starred restaurant describes itself as modern British; using the best seasonal produce. It has a beautiful setting on Midsummer Common. If you want a real treat, then this is the place.

2-star Michelin. Modern British. 2018 will be Midsummer House’s 20th anniversary and its history is fascinating. This Victorian villa is on Midsummer Common on the banks of the River Cam amongst a number of Cambridge University Colleges. The service matches the cooking, the wine list is majestic but the bill can be a little wince-worthy. Its style is theatrical and melding of utter technical brilliance with a wild imagination, this restaurant is among the most unforgettably good in Britain today, and it would be unpardonably vulgar to put a price on that. Simply our favourite place to eat in Cambridge for a special occasion - book well in advance!
