This is a great place for lunch before hopping on the ferry to Rothesay. Most of the dishes served use produce from the butchers shop which is attached to the cafe. The produce is of the highest quality and both businesses are owned and run by Nigel Ovens and his wife Helen. There are several awards on display inside the adjoining shop which are a testament to the high quality of produce available. My own personal favourites being - Haggis and Black Pudding! The menu has a good selection of dishes ranging from breakfast items to a complete lunch. Soups are served daily as well as a nice selection of scones and cakes. They also have a takeaway service available.

This little restaurant is set in the heart of the Ayrshire countryside around a 20 minute drive from Largs. It has been awarded a Michelin One Star Rating by the Food Industry. It is fine dining, cosy and intimate where the service is excellent. This restaurant has been in the area for 24 years and is run by husband and wife team, Kevin and Nicola Braidwood. The restaurant itself seats only twenty people so booking ahead is highly recommended....in order to be lucky enough to dine there.

Well known locally, Scott's is a nice place to go for a spot of lunch or dinner in the evening. The atmosphere is relaxing and ambient. There is a good choice of food on the main menu, as well as a light lunch and separate children's selection. The restaurant is licensed and provide a wide selection of wines, beers and spirits. There is also an outdoor dining area which on a summer's evening is perfect.
