If you visit the Gothic Quarter, you can stop by a legendary cafe serving hot chocolate as a speciality. When this is poured cream on top, it is often called a "Suizo" (a "Swiss"), and it is typically dipped with "melindros" (sweet bread), a characteristic afternoon meal to take a break whilst walking around the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. This café was established in 1947, and the decoration hasn't changed since, being very authentic of the post-war era.

A beautiful park within a walking distance from the apartment. Beautiful for walking and seeing the Catalan Parliament as well as the Zoo. It counts with some grass areas to sit or lay down, a botanical garden, and a small lake where boats can be rented.

The Catalan Parliament is an interesting building to see located inside the Parc de la Ciutadella. It was built by the military architect Próspero de Verboom in the early XVIII century.

It is notable for enshrining the image of the Virgin of Montserrat, which is traditionally a place of pilgrimage and it is said that to touch this Romanesque carving of the Virgin (also labelled "La Moreneta") can bring good luck. The monastery was founded in the 11th century and rebuilt between the 19th and 20th centuries, and still functions to this day as a residence of roughly 80 monks.

It is notable for enshrining the image of the Virgin of Montserrat, which is traditionally a place of pilgrimage and it is said that to touch this Romanesque carving of the Virgin (also labelled "La Moreneta") can bring good luck. The monastery was founded in the 11th century and rebuilt between the 19th and 20th centuries, and still functions to this day as a residence of roughly 80 monks.
