It features a kind of all-you-can-eat style of menu. You basically have a card on your table that signals the waiters to either stop at your table or stop coming to your table. The waiters bring by food ranging from shrimp, to lamb, to filet mignon. It’s not cheap, it doesn’t break the bank, great spot to try.

If you’re in the mood for Italian this is a relatively affordable option and one of the best places to eat on this side of the Bay Area. Basically a 10 minute drive away it’s a great option.

El Mansour is an authentic Moroccan restaurant that features real Moroccan food, belly dancers, floor seating, and a generally awesome vibe. It’s just great all around especially if you want a change of pace.

Much in the style of Alexander's it's one of the best steakhouses in the world but it has a french style to it. Not cheap, but amazing food.

The Bay Area is home to the largest Afghan population in the United States, as a result there are a handful of amazing Afghan restaurants. This is our favorite in the area. If you like jasmine rice, kebabs, yogurt dumplings and pumpkin dishes then you’ll want to stop by. Try a kebab with the green sauce, an order of mantu and kadu and you’ll go home happy.

There is a farmers market here on Sundays as well so if you want to just get out of the house this is a close option.

A pirate themed dive bar that has drinks the size of your head, the jamaican rum is really good, but be wary of the Scorpion Bowls. They taste awesome but you’ll probably need some help leaving.

The Golden State Warriors (basketball), the Oakland Athletics (baseball), and the Oakland Raiders (Football) all call this complex home. The Warriors are the biggest draw in the world in terms of Basketball right now so if they are playing you should definitely try to get tickets. Along with that, there are always concerts/events going on so you should definitely check to see if anything is happening during your stay.

The Warriors are the biggest draw in the world in terms of Basketball right now so if they are playing you should definitely try to get tickets. Along with that, there are always concerts/events going on so you should definitely check to see if anything is happening during your stay.
The Oakland Zoo is almost walking distance from the house, if you’d like to spend the day checking out some animals it's right down the road.

Lake Chabot is a state park that is right down the road from the house. It's a true state park and if you want to walk a trail, ride a horse, go jetskiing, shooting at the range, or any other outdoorsy type activities this is a great place to start.

Gorgeous beaches about 30 minutes south along the coast of California, it's a great beachfront town. They offer horse riding on the beach and things like that, definitely swing by if you want a day at the beach. More scenic than fun.

Santa Cruz is about an hour away and has more of a Southern California beach town vibe to it. It’s more yellow sand, surfers, a rollercoaster on the boardwalk, carnival rides and a big pier to walk out on kinda place. More fun than scenic.
