A lovely setting - coffee is ok and for lunch or light dinner is passable but the decore has to be seen. It is just beautiful under the chandeliers - old-world charm and elegance captivate the imagination of a bygone era. Good for a nice drink and chat. Classy.

Bácús is a scratch bakery on the Dingle Peninsula specialising in Irish and European artisan breads that are finished by hand and baked in our stone-floored deck ovens. Bacus use fresh ingredients avoiding preservatives and additives. These handcrafted breads are hearty looking and somewhat rustic with a deep golden crunchy crust, a soft airy crumb and a very distinct taste and texture. Their white and wholewheat sour dough is now the only bread I eat! There is also a sunny back garden area for a hot cuppa and a light bite!

The Star Wars viewing point. Beautiful beach to look at but not for swimming as the undertoe is supposedly very dangerous. A great cliff walk can be had around the headland. Lots of geologists find this place a real find for rocks, fossils and drool over the findings here.

An early Christian site on the Dingle Peninsula, the ancient monastery of Kilmalkedar was founded in the 7th Century by St Maolcethair. Despite this, the site is associated strongly with St. Brendan, who maintained a residence here according to legend. The existing church is a 12th Century Romanesque building. Many of the features which typify Irish Romanesque architecture are present. Inside the church is the alphabet stone with both 6th Century (and earlier) Latin writing and an inscribed cross. A number of interesting objects are located outside of the church, including a tall Ogham stone with the inscription "ANM MAILE-INBIR MACI BROCANN"

The Blasket Centre on the mainland in Dúnquin on the tip of the Dingle Peninsula is a fascinating heritage centre/museum honouring the unique community who lived on the remote Blasket Islands until their evacuation in 1953. Tells the story of island life, subsistence fishing and farming, traditional life including modes of work and transport, home life, housing and entertainment. The Centre details the community’s struggle for existence, their language and culture, and the extraordinary literary legacy they left behind- classics such as ‘The Islandman’, ‘Twenty Years A-Growing’ and ‘Peig’. Their story is told using a variety of means - exhibitons, interactive displays, MUST SEE. Great cafe

Movie "Ryan's Daughter" and "Far and Awway" ere filmed on location here in Dunquin. The old school house Kirarry is still standing. A cliff top walk alongside the Blasket Centre will take you up and over fenced fields as landowner is generous with tourists to find the Kirarry school house where the views are amazing! THE MOST AMAZING drive in all Kerry!! Wild, untamed and spectacular... National Geographic has hailed this place "the most beautiful place on earth!" No argument from me. This loop drive does not take all day - but there is so much to see and beautiful places to explore, that you may need a week, month, a lifetime to explore... we are still doing just that! The Slea Head Drive (Slí Cheann Sléibhe) is a circular route, forming part of the Wild Atlantic Way, beginning and ending in Dingle, that takes in a large number of attractions and stunning views on the western end of the peninsula. The route is clearly labelled by road signs throughout its length. Maps readily available around the place

If you like long sandy beaches, beauty and quaint little villages... this is a cutie. Lovely places to see all around this area. Drive to Spillanes for a pint and a meal during high summer (only open for dinner 1 September - 30 Nov). Keep driving and you will arrive at the pier with lots of boats and fishermen, if you go for a walk around the top of the pier you will see the 7 hogs islands known as the Maharees.... gorgeous indeed. Food also available at Gregorys Cafe, in Castlegregory and a few little shops plus a supermarket...

From Dingle you need to go over the Conor Pass which in itself is like entering into another ancient world... this natural stone mountain ampitheater... has a beautiful waterfalll and above this parking area is the beautiful lake Peder - worth a clammer up the boulders to view. Continue to the Cloghane/Brandon sign at the base of Conor Pass and keep driving along to Brandon Point is at the end of the most picturesque drive along a rugged but 2 way road... and worth the effort. On the way you will pass through Cloghane village before Brandon village- both are full of vibrant coloured buildings, old cottages, a few pubs and magnificent views onto the Brandon river inlet towards Tralee Bay.

Just so pretty are these twin towns on Brandon Bay. An area of outstanding beauty with many options to enjoy irish culture, amenities, mountains and beaches. Situated in tranquil surroundings overlooking Brandon Bay, Cloghane and Brandon are tucked in at the base of Mount Brandon. Here, an exhilarating blend of mountains, sea, and beaches entice visitors to linger, often longer than planned.
