One of our favorite lunch spots in town, this place serves some really good cajun food. Beignets, jambalaya, gator bites, and so much more. The best sandwich in town comes from this place and it is called a Fried Green Tomato Po’Boy: so very delicious.

We both love the "Bombay Bombarito" with bison - try saying that three times as a tongue twister. The food is delicious here and they also offer beer and wine.

Just probably the very best place to eat in town. Lucca’s serves Italian food that has heavy, but delicious American influence. Nice atmosphere, downtown. We strongly recommend making reservations beforehand.

Bistro fare with a solid wet bar. On Broadway is within close walking distance from the apartment and often has live music. Favorite part about this restaurant is the Dale Livezey art hanging on the walls.

Wood-fired pizzas are what sets Bullman’s apart from other pizzerias in town. Great crust recipe with interesting and original topping choices. They sadly do not deliver.

A locally owned diner, Steve’s is a place we like to visit for breakfast. Their lunches go the way of sandwiches and melts, and they are very flexible with dietary restrictions. Not opened for dinners except potentially on the weekends.

This restaurant is close to the capitol complex and offers something besides burgers and fries. The gyros are tasty and filling. The owner is a really nice guy. It gets pretty busy around lunch time.

This dog park is located in the YMCA campus. Lots of friendly Helena dogs go there to roam and play with one another. There is a several mile walking trail around the entire park as well as playground equipment, soccer fields, and a skate park.

This is one of the premier ceramic arts residency programs in the United States. It's housed in an old brickyard factory. You can go and wander the grounds, visit with the residents, and purchase hand made pottery.
