The Stella Maris monastery in the Stella Maris neighborhood of Haifa is a Carmelite men's monastery and serves as the world's center for the Order. The three-story building was built as a wall with small openings, due to the need to defend itself against the harassment that had been the bread of its day. The shape of the building was square and in its eastern part was a large inner courtyard.

Jews used to hang parcels on the southern wall, where there was a depression, similar to the location of the Holy Ark. It is customary to place notes in the walls of the cave. Outside the cave, we light candles and pray for the health of the sick, for couplings and for the fruit of the stomach, as is customary in holy places.

The museum's collection also includes archaeological findings from an old art museum that was closed.
The museum is located on Allenby Street, in the city of Haifa, at the meeting point between Mount Carmel and the Mediterranean Sea, at the foot of Stella Maris, and near the Clandestine Immigration and Naval Museum, Eliyahu Cave and Haifa Cable Car.

The Haifa cable car invites you to a five-minute journey between heaven and earth, starting at the Bat Galim promenade and continuing to the top of Mount Carmel and back. The transparent cable car allows you to enjoy the magnificent view of the Carmel range and Haifa Bay.
You can purchase a one-way ticket or round-trip ticket. Getting to the cable car is possible both from the lower station (Bat Galim promenade) and from the upper station.
