Senor Froggy 's is a local Mexican grub place. It is budget-friendly and has quick service. If you're craving Mexican but don't want fancy prices, this is a great place to go. They have a large restaurant for eat-in as well. It is great for families! They also have Italian food with home-cooked sauces for those that are not into the spice and beans ;)

This place has home cooked food and many vegan, GF or allergy friendly options. It has a cool vibe to it, with local art on the walls (that is for sale). It can get busy at lunch, so arrive early. I don't think it's open for supper just FYI!

An amazing cafe right downtown - you can book "High Tea" or come in for one of their amazing meals. They bake their bread in-house. Everything I've had has been amazing!!

Want AMAZING Italian food? This is the place to go. Noodles are hand-made daily and their sauces are made to order. Family-owned restaurant right in the heart of downtown. They don't accept reservations so go earlier if possible!

Another brewery in town - love me some craft beers! It is downtown. Parking is tricky but worth it. They have so many choices! They also have very cost-friendly food that surprisingly is delicious!

This Casino is huge, has live music and many restaurants. It is super fun to go to if you're looking for a random night out. They also have shuttles to take you home - there is one shuttle that will even take you from the casino back to our place for FREE (w/ tip). You just have to ask the lady at the front desk!

Amazing hiking trails are just a short drive away from our home.
This park hosts many sports events from hockey, to soccer to baseball. It is also a beautiful place to go for a walk or run on its trails, visit the butterfly garden and check out the views of the water and mountains.

Head-on up to Sun Peaks in Summer or Winter! It is a year-round resort with tons of hiking, mountain biking, golf and activities in the summer, and amazing downhill and cross-country skiing in the winter! Only 40 minutes from our home.

Schubert Drive has a paved walking trail that goes from just below our house on the water, all the way to the Overlander bridge to downtown. I often go for runs from our home to downtown (6.5kms each way) as it is a flat, beautiful path along the river!

This place is a shopping gem in Kamloops, offering everything from housewares, to clothing to Fluevog shoes. It is the go-to store when I want to find someone a gift. It is also owned by a local woman who is very fun & spunky.

Far & Wide is a locally owned shop full of amazing and unique items. They focus on having Canadian-made items, so you know I love to shop here. You may even find some of my husband's "Jon Smith Originals" serving boards there for sale ;) They are located downtown Kamloops.
