I LOVE good food - and being on the small side I have to make sure every calorie is outstanding. Following are some of my favourites.
Nice bread and excellent selection of desserts nearby - we particularly love the German cheesecake, Mascarpone tart and cherry pie plus lots more.

The food, drinks, service and location are terrific. Their practices are not as sustainable as we'd like especially given their name and location but 600m from our door it's worth a stop if you need it. You may like to ask them about their sustainable practices as a nudge nudge wink wink ;-)

We haven't tried this place yet but we've heard incredible things. If you can get there (there was another recent landslide) it is worth it for a special occasion.

This stunning hotel will take you back in time. The lounge and bar has beautiful cocktails like the caprioska champagne cocktail, comfy couches and an open fire. They also put on fantastic events from the Grand Art Deco Ball to Oktoberfest!

Why settle on 5 stars when you can have thousands? These guys are out of this world. Caroline and Dimitri have created a magical, educational and unforgettable experience just a short walk from Werona. The vegan hot chocolate is divine. Rug up but they will have extra blankets if needed. Testament to our eco destination and decades long commitment to sustainability, the Blue Mountains has a quality dark sky measuring 3.5 on the bortle scale (depending on where you are) - Uluru being the best at 1 and Sydney being the worst at a 9. While you can enjoy the dark sky from Little Werona through the sky light, big windows, deck, garden or bath, you are in for a treat if you really want to dive deeper into the magical world above us. Did you know 80% of people live under light pollution and have never seen the Milky Way? The Dark Emu can be seen within the Milky Way and is the basis of an ancient Indigenous story believed to be possibly the oldest on the planet.

Really lovely beer garden overlooking the train station and vista. Good pub food - especially the wood fired pizza. Decent selection of drinks. Restaurant is pretty good normally though we did have a not great experience last time we went so we've been reluctant to return!

The perfect first stop if you're heading here from Sydney. The information staff are extremely helpful and the range of quality, local and well priced items is outstanding. Plenty of parking and just a short walk from the train station.

Beautiful waterfall and views out to Mt Solitary as well as the back of the 3 sisters. Lots of spectacular walks with plenty of water. Also the popular and short Empress Canyon if you're into canyoning!

From that entry point to the Fletcher Street exit it is dog friendly (there are a few steps you may have to carry your dog up/down). Or if you want to enter closer to Werona enter via Fletcher Street (about 600m from the house) and it will lead you to Wentworth Falls. There are some terrific look outs and lots of water to splash around in on the warmer days.

He is the artist responsible for the artwork in Little Werona. His gallery is full of treats and if you're lucky he'll be running one of his amazing workshops.
