Malmöhus is the oldest surviving renaissance castle in Scandinavia (1434). Danish kings stayed here during their visit to Malmö and the Earl of Bothwell, Mary Stuart's third husband was imprisoned here. Nowadays there are historical exhibitions as well as an aquarium and dinosaur remnants. The restaurant is always a good choice.

Malmö library is a great place for kids, teens and parents. The library is quite modern and has different parts for different age groups. There is a lunch restaurant and just outside a big playground (where you are likely to meet other nice parents) in a beautiful park with statues, canals, birds (once I saw 3 herons at the same time!). Eat in the library restaurant, have an ice cream in the park or bring your pique-nique.

Best lunch in town, good price, a stunning salad buffé and wonderful bread, sometimes if you are lucky live band during lunch. And the arts museum is literally two steps away.

I love mrs Chang and she makes great sushi as well! Inside the high, blue tiled Kronprinsen there is a food court where surprisingly enough you find this lovely hidden, simple hide away - perfect for take away. Kids favourite. Lunch prices. Closes at 18.
For adult sushi (=exclusive and expensive) you should try Chill Out Sushi or world class and avant-garde Saiko.
