Parks & Nature

It's right on the doorstep and there is always something going on, from big names performing at The Bandstand to circus acts practicing tightrope walking between the trees. You can walk or jog along the River Kelvin, through the park, and on up to the Botanic Gardens before coming back via Byres Rd and stopping for a coffee or slice of cake on your way home.

Sightseeing

The main buildings of the university across the park with it's iconic clock tower are worth a visit. The view from the top across Glasgow to the hills in the south, the university chapel and cloisters and, of course, the wonderful Hunterian Museum Scotland's oldest museum and home to the Mackintosh House, the Zoology Museum and the Anatomy Museum.
