High end Norwegian dining experience. The menu has eclectic items like venison sausage on a corn pancake with a lingonberry compote, smoked deer heart appetizer, and a a house-cured Gravlax. But don't be scared everything is excellent. This little known gem is hidden across from the Village in an industrial garage where the old Mammoth Brewing Company used to be. This is a fine dining experience in a rustic setting. A local favorite and very good. Entrees are in the $35-50 range. From the business: Perched on the banks of Twin Lakes, The Lakefront is Mammoth's most intimate fine dining experience. The menu changes with the seasons and features fresh, sustainable, locally-sourced selections. Sample Lakefront's extensive wine selection while enjoying live piano on the weekends.

Rustic casual fine dining experience at Convict Lake. About a 15 min drive south of Mammoth (11 miles from my condo). Make reservations in advance. Worth coming a few minutes early for views of the lake and surrounding mountains if its still daylight out. Please note there's no lake or mountain views at the restaurant. Just drive about 1/2 mile past the restaurant and park at the marina parking lot, check the view, then head to dinner. Details from online... The Restaurant at Convict Lake is widely recognized as the finest restaurant in the Eastern Sierra and a "locals" choice for special occasions. Dine in a romantic and casually elegant atmosphere located just 10 minutes from Mammoth Lakes across from the Mammoth/Yosemite Airport. Our menu features continental cuisine and such sumptuous specialties as rack of lamb, beef wellington, grass fed beef steaks, fresh seafood and pastas. We have an award-winning wine list including some of the best vintages around the world and a martini bar. If you are not up for a four course meal, enjoy appetizers and drinks at the martini bar in The Lounge. The lounge offers a separate menu and HD TV's to watch your favorite sports.

Great little nano-brewery with a good locals scene. One-of-a-kind beers and brews. Wine. Cider. Seltzer. Flat breads. Soups. Sandwiches. Pretzels. Indoor and outdoor dining. Free wifi and dog friendly. Formerly called Black Doubt brewing. Established in 2015. Pristine lakes, emerald fairways and stunning mountain views – golf at Sierra Star is a deep immersion in the majesty of the Eastern Sierra. 18-Hole Championship Course plays to a par of 70 and is open to the public. Featuring rolling hills, tree-lined fairways and some of the most breathtaking views of any course in North America, our course sits at an elevation of about 8,000 ft., meaning your ball can fly a long way. There are 3 hot springs all located along the same road, but Wild Willy’s is the best as it’s the only natural hot spring (the others are man-made rock tubs with the hot springs water piped in). It's also probably the easies to get to... 1. Head East out of town on the 395. Look for Benton Crossing Road which is marked with a faded green church. Turn left onto the road. 2. About 3 miles down (or 3 cattle gates down) you’ll come to the top of a slight hill. On the left will be a yellow crossing sign for cattle. On the right will be a cattle gate and a dirt road. Turn right on this dirt road. This is the entrance to the hot springs! The gates to the springs are usually only open during the late spring-early fall, but you can park on the main road and walk down if it is closed during the winter. The road is dirt and gravel. You can manage with a regular car but take it slow. The road is about 1.5 miles from the gate to the small parking lot. 4. Park your car, gather your things, and follow the boardwalk on foot down the the hot springs. You made it! Can get crowded depending on when you go. Relatively small. Fits about 6-8 people. Clothing optional.

Best selection in town for cool gear, equipment, accessories and clothing for snowboarders and skaters. Also a great place for snowboard rentals and electric bike rentals.
Best souvenir and tee shirt shop in town. Cute stuff and better prices than the official Mammoth gift shops. Located in the village across from Shelter Distillery. If you want something with the official Mammoth branding or logo though you'll have to shop at their official gift shops.
