Another favorite place of ours: Delicious typical food (try also their home made lemon pie! ) Beautiful view over the lake and Turrialba, many birds and peaceful place to talk or read. Bring a sweater as its open and can get a little chilly when windy.

The top fab tours to do!
A hidden gem! We have a self made map to get to this waterfall. Close-by is another waterfall, so you can make it a half day or a full day trip. Easy hike and great place for pic-nic and a swim. Walk through farmland and see a part of CR not many tourists get to see. Off the beaten track! And if you don't bring picnic, on the entrance to the San Antonio valley there is a cute place on the side of the road, nicely decorated with hanging bananas and pineapples where you can get all the typical dishes, smoothies deserts you can imagine. And as a bonus you have a view looking over the Turrialba valley.

In 2020 the entrance to the volcano opened again after 8 years being closed. Only guided tours possible. Its a 2,5hr hike up, 30 minutes look at the top and then a 1,5 hr hike down. Tours can be booked online, there are timeslots available from 5am to 10am. We can help you with the reservation if you'd like.
