At one point it will bring you to the Nieuwegracht, also a canal, which is the prettiest -and the most expensive part- of town.

The 'Wed' is a square with lot's of cafe's which are open from morning till late night. Alway's busy, open till late. In summer everybody is on the street, drinking there wine, beer or anything else you prefer.

neude is a square in the middle of town and 3 minutes from our house that is surrounded by cafes where you can watch the student population of utrecht and have your drink. open till one o'clock. at times this place is also the main venue of the many festivals, theater, film, music, which come to utrecht on a yearly basis.

griftpark is quite a recent park. not really what you would expect, it has an open feel. in the far corner there's a children's farm and a garden where people from the neighborhood grow their own vegetables and flowers. good for running or a walk at your own leisurely pace. not really my favorite, but good for a quick breath of fresh air.
