This is only a 5 minute drive from our place and the closest place for groceries. It opens quite early and doesn't close until about 7PM. Head back out to Sussex Inlet Rd turn right and stay on it until you come into the town of Sussex. There's a bottle shop next door as well.

Food Scene
Milton is a lovely town south of Cudmirrah and great for a day trip. There are a number of wineries in the area including Cupitts, some good bars, we like Harvest, quirky shopping and some really interesting food experiences including Pilgrims Vegetarian cafe.

Great for breakfast, a coffee or emergency supplies. They do have a wood fires pizza oven that they fire up on weekend afternoons, but they close early, don't expect to be fed after 7!

Entertainment & Activities
Home....what makes this holiday so special, nights under the Milky Way, spotto the Southern Cross and satellites as they travel across the southern sky. Sit around the fire, talk laugh, play ping pong and backyard cricket, read books watch a movie, or you may be tempted to do absolutely nothing. Of course there is the lake at the bottom of the street and the beach a block or so away so swimming, walking, kayaking, SUPping, snorkling are also on the to do list.

For something a bit different call the Sussex Inlet Courtesy Bus to pick you up. Share a few beers and a Chinese meal, listen to some live music and be dropped back to your front door. Just call the club for your pick up.

Sightseeing
Walk about 7 minutes to the wonderful southern ocean. From July to October whales are easily spotted out at sea blowing, cruising and breaching. There are many wonderful walks along the coast. Our favourite is south starting at Berrara Beach to Mermaid Pools and then if you feel really energetic along the cliff fcae and Monument beach to Flat Rock. Its a fabulous wild and easy walk.

Drive about half hour south and take the Bendalong turn off to find Dee Beach. Gums line the hill behind the beach that is small sheltered and quiet. A busy day on this beach might be 15 people. Take a picnic and the beach cricket set and stay the day.
