Local swimmers are friendly and there are usually lifeguards there, even in winter. Go on a windy afternoon to watch windsurfers.

This is a 2.7 mile round trip walk from Hacienda Sullivan, up a moderately steep hill to an amazing 360 view of Catalina island, the harbor, and downtown LA. Highly recommended at sunset!
