There's a great restaurant right next to Magic Sands Beach! It has great food and its a fun place to hang out. Magic Sands Beach is also called "White Sands Beach" is is 2.5 miles from the house.

Sightseeing
When you visit the Big Island a must do is the visit Volcanoes National Park! Visit the calderas! Walk through the Lava Tube. My favorite!! is to drive the Chain of Craters Road to the ocean! It is surreal! When you go please consider having lunch at the Volcano Garden Arts Cafe. My husband and I drive from Kona to Volcano just to go to this Cafe. You need to know that lunch and the shop closes at 2 PM now though.

These two, plus the Parker Ranch Shops in Waimea, the shops in Kailua Kona, and those in Hilo and Hawi provide the best shopping on the island. Locals do visit the Ross, the Target and good old Costco here as well.
