We love The Captains Daughter for some seriously good fish and chips or a burger. They have an awesome vibe, an excellent bar and did I mention that they do gluten free options! If you are gluten free I have got to absolutely recommend their gf tempura battered barramundi..... heaven. You can dine in or get it take away with a couple of roadies from the BWS a few shops down and enjoy right on the sand of Peregian Beach.

Sum Yung Guys is an absolute gem of a place. Located in Sunshine Beach, if you are into Asian flavours, excellent service, good vibes and a great bar menu then this is a must visit for you. This place has an impeccable reputation and is highly sought after so we recommend making a booking.

Bistro C holds a special place in my heart. It is my absolute favourite for lunch with friends, a good meal, awesome cocktails and the most spectacular views and position on Main Beach Noosa. I always head there for lunch however breakfast and dinner are also amazing. If possible make a booking and request seating at front near the windows, you are going to love it.

I always head there for lunch however breakfast and dinner are also amazing. If possible make a booking and request seating at front near the windows, you are going to love it.

Local organic farm just around the corner from our property. A must visit if you are as excited as we are about fresh organic local produce. Why not buy some fresh produce and enjoy or alternatively take it home with you! Their pasture raised eggs are the best and their raw honey is from the hives on the farm. Matts is a local greengrocer approx 10 minutes from The Breezeway Retreat in Coolum. Great spot for fresh local fruit and veg at an affordable price. A firm family favourite.

Goldie & the Green Grocer is the little corner store about 5 minutes away from The Breezeway Retreat. Located in the Peregian Breeze precinct, you will find well priced salads, sandwiches, coffee, meals and breakfast here. The service is outstanding and James offers the best service with a huge smile. The locals love this little place.

Peregian Beach is our local. If you don't like crowds then may we suggest the locals spot at Victory Park (no flags). If you are wanting the safety of the flags (which I would definitely recommend) head to Peregian Main Beach, near Peregian Square. You can grab lunch and do a spot of shopping while you're there.

We love First Bay at Coolum. There are plenty of rocks for the kiddies and adults to explore and its a really beautiful bay, please be warned that there are no flags or lifeguards there.

We love Noosa Main Beach. Its our family favourite as we have a young son and as a mama I feel most comfortable with the tides here. For me, it feels a lot safer than the open beaches and it is patrolled year round. We love to head down with a Poke Bowl or Bettys Burgers and just enjoy. For me, its worth the drive every time (about 15 minutes if you can get a park easy).

We love Noosa Main Beach. Its our family favourite as we have a young son and as a mama I feel most comfortable with the tides here. For me, it feels a lot safer than the open beaches and it is patrolled year round. We love to head down with a Poke Bowl or Bettys Burgers and just enjoy. For me, its worth the drive every time (about 15 minutes if you can get a park easy).
If you have a 4WD and you love nature and exploring, this is for you. You catch the ferry across to the north shore and then you can literally drive for miles up the sand along the beach. Awesome for surfing, fishing, swimming, picnics or just because.

Lake Weyba is literally on our doorstep. Opposite our driveway is an extensive walking track that will get you onto the shores of Lake Weyba in around 5 minutes. Its a beautiful spot for a picnic, a sundowner, a walk or just to take in the beauty of nature. The locals love to fish, kite surf, kayak and paddle-board in the lake. It is a shallow lake and not much past knee high. Our son loves to play in the lake and swing from the hanging rope! Great spot to check out while you are here, truly a hidden gem!

Lake Weyba is literally on our doorstep. Opposite our driveway is an extensive walking track that will get you onto the shores of Lake Weyba in around 5 minutes. Its a beautiful spot for a picnic, a sundowner, a walk or just to take in the beauty of nature. The locals love to fish, kite surf, kayak and paddle-board in the lake. It is a shallow lake and not much past knee high. Our son loves to play in the lake and swing from the hanging rope! Great spot to check out while you are here, truly a hidden gem!
For The Kids
Great playground for kids located right on the bank of Noosa River. Personally, playgrounds are not my thing but as far as they go this one is a winner. Take the kids swimwear and towels as I can guarantee they will be playing in the water before you know it. Big kids can get in the water here too. Make a day of it and take a picnic or grab lunch at the many cafes, you can grab an ice cream from Amos while you are here. Best ice cream around.

Take the kids swimwear and towels as I can guarantee they will be playing in the water before you know it. Big kids can get in the water here too. Make a day of it and take a picnic or grab lunch at the many cafes, you can grab an ice cream from Amos while you are here. Best ice cream around.
Our son, cousins and his mates love Aussie World. Its a really great park, much more affordable in our opinion than the other big parks and a fun day had by all. We always head to The Banana Bender Pub next door for lunch and a sneaky drink rather than the in house cafe or we head there when we are done and in need of a drink and food after a hard day of fun!
Ps: we recommend you take the kids swimwear and a towel as they have a splash-park section that will soak them if they get hot and bothered (our son loves this area).

If you are up for some hinterland sightseeing the drive up to Montville and Maleny is a scenic winner. There are plenty of little cafes and shops dotted thru out the drive and a pub perched high on the range.

Noosa River Precinct at Noosaville is a scenic destination. You can go fishing in the river, browse the shops, dine in one of many cafes or just relax on the river foreshore. The Noosa River is approx. 10 minutes drive from The Breezeway Retreat.

If you're up for it and here with family or some friends hiring a river pontoon / boat is a fun day out. You can hire a boat and have a BBQ onboard and moor in a spot of your choice and swim your day away. Its a fun day but be aware its a self driving situation so someone will have to take one for the team and be a responsible boat driver!
