This restaurant is a raft on the river, right below Kalemegdan. I would recommend trying their "white caviar" with their homemade whole grain tortillas as well as their vitamin salad.

For great fish stews and stakes, I recommend this restaurant, with stunning views on Kalemegdan fortress (it is right across the river from it). In the evenings they have old bohemian live music.

According to many, best ćevapi (traditional Balkan meat sausage) and other traditionally made meats in Belgrade! Very close to DAR, with nice outdoor and indoor spaces. Opens at noon and tends to be busy in the evenings.

I recommend this place for special occasions as it is pricey. However, this is a superb upscale restaurant, with a Michelin star French chef, beautiful space, and wonderful views.

This is a wonderful vegetarian place with upscale touch. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and besides healthy juices and smoothes offers a great selection of wines. A must for any vegetarian visiting, but for others as well!

Apart from fresh produce it offers amazing food--cheeses, kaymak (Serbian clotted cream, used as a bread spread), olives, cured meats, wild mushrooms (when in season--spring, summer, early fall), baked goods, honey, etc. Many organic farmers (mostly not certified), open daily. Just walk down our street for 3 minutes, cross the street at the bottom and you are there. Best to go to before 1 PM.

Getting Around
If you go to the bottom of our street (Cetinjska--it is intersection between Cetinjska and Džordža Vašingtona) there are many bus and tram stations, but also a taxi stand (I would recommend Pink Taxi). Also, there is a number 2 tram stop there--it is a famous circular route that takes you around the city downtown (many sightseeing stops around, including Knez Mihailova Street and Kalemegdan, but also intercity bus stop and central railway station are on the route). Either direction of the Tram 2 you take will take you the same route. Public transportation card can be bought or refilled at most of the newspaper stands. As soon as you get on the bus/tram just place the card against the screen that is right by the door--the screen will also tell you how much more money you have on your card (a ride is 89 dinars, app 0.8 Euros; any ride you take within 1.5 hours from the first ride will not be charged). Bear in mind, these are only the closest public transportation stands, but there are many others close to the apartment. If you need some help with getting around, please let me or Ivana know.
