Sightseeing

This is the place famous for crabbing off the quay! It has a cafe, a small play park including a pirate ship, the RNLI launch area, public toilets and the ferry goes from here across to Mudeford Spit all day in Summer. The bay behind the quay is a great area with shallow water for kayaking, windsurfing, SUP etc - you can hire all of this from the Shoresports van there on an hourly basis.

A great place for spending the day on the beach. There is a little shop for buying buckets, spades and gifts alongside an ice-cream parlour, fish & chips shop, local artists beach hut shop, The Noisy Lobster restaurant, public toilets & a beach coffee shop. Additionally there is also a party beach hut which you can hire for the day if celebrating a special occasion. On a clear day you can clearly see the Isle of Wight and Needles across the water.

A beautiful headland with far reaching views across to Bournemouth, back to Mudeford and the Isle of Wight on a clear day. You can do a fantastic looped walk up and over the headland, down onto the beach where the famous beach huts are and then back through the woodland. There is a land train which you can take (kids love) and this lower path is bike and scooter friendly (you cannot bike over the headland as it is a nature reserve). There is a fascinating Visitor Centre and shop where you can find out more information about the history of this area and nature. A cafe and public toilets are situated at the car park and then also down on the beach so it makes for a very family friendly day out!
