Sightseeing
This is the place famous for crabbing off the quay! It has a cafe, a small play park including a pirate ship, the RNLI launch area, public toilets and the ferry goes from here across to Mudeford Spit all day in Summer. The bay behind the quay is a great area with shallow water for kayaking, windsurfing, SUP etc - you can hire all of this from the Shoresports van there on an hourly basis.

You can do a fantastic looped walk up and over the headland, down onto the beach where the famous beach huts are and then back through the woodland. A day out to see the abbey, palace house, national motor museum (including "world of Top Gear") and exhibitions. The village is very beautiful too with little shops and cafe and pubs. There is a lovely walk that takes you along the banks of the Beaulieu river to the picturesque Bucklers Hard too.

This is where you catch the ferry over to Mudeford Spit. It goes back and forth regularly and when the flag is up it's running! It's a very short journey time of a few minutes but well worth the trip. For the timetable google them (it changes according to time of year / weather etc).

You can take the ferry from Lymington across to the Isle of Wight on a day trip with the car or as foot passengers. There is lots to do for families including visiting the famous Needles where you have a chairlift over the cliffs or even boat rides out to get right up to them.

The local Waitrose on the outskirts of Christchurch (a few minutes drive from the bungalow). You need to pay for parking (£1 for 2 hours) but if you buy from the shop then they will take the £1 off your bill when you present the correct half of the ticket which you haven't displayed).
