Old San Juan is a historic district located at the "northwest triangle" of the islet of San Juan. Filled with abundant stores, delicious food, and rich culture. There is something for everyone. Walk the streets and find secret places inside this magical city. There is major parking garage just outside the city streets so you are able to park, walk and enjoy all the sights. Uber is also recommended for total relaxation. Old San Juan is 15-20 minutes from Villa Escape.

They also feature a movie Theater (Caribbean Cinemas) with latest releases. Like any local attraction, the parking and traffic can get rowdy at times so plan accordingly. There are places for children to play as well and there is abundant parking.

Located in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico is an entrance to the Nation El Yunque Rain forest. You need a car or want to spend on an Uber to view the rain forest road path. On the road there are attraction to stop including, el yunque museum, zip lining, waterfalls, and some hiking trails. In the rain forest, there are various local food places to each pinchos and criollo food as well as souvenir shops with various handmade gifts.

Located in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico is an entrance to the Nation El Yunque Rain forest. You need a car or want to spend on an Uber to view the rain forest road path. On the road there are attraction to stop including, el yunque museum, zip lining, waterfalls, and some hiking trails. In the rain forest, there are various local food places to each pinchos and criollo food as well as souvenir shops with various handmade gifts.
A beautiful beach about 45-60 minutes from Villa Escape. It is suggested to get a rent a car to go to this beach. There are two parts to this beach. First, there is a section that faces the open ocean for swimming. Second, the other half of the beach is surrounded by tall rocks providing a coral reef shallow where you can scuba with the sea life. The waves break over the rocks, protecting the shallow. Parking ranges from $5-10 per car.

Warm weather / Rain / relax clothes
The climate is Puerto Rico is mild - warm - hot during various times of the year and day. The days are warm/hot when the sun is out and some days it rains a lot. Make sure you have shoes for the rain and also a light jacket. The night can get cooler enough for sweats and relaxation clothing. Do not forget your bathing suit for the beaches and summer clothing for lounging.

Travel outside of tourist areas
The food in Puerto Rico is one of the main reasons to travel here. You will find in the tourist areas, there are overcrowded and over priced foods and regular USA food chains. For an amazing experience, you can travel throughout the island and find local pizza joints, PR food, malls, stores, and pharmacies where you can find food and product cheap! You will be surprised what you will find when you take a drive.

2-5 minute drive up the road from Villa Escape, there is a Laundromat and Cyber Cafe. Across the street from that, there is a Gas Station, Pharmacy, Wendy's, KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Maker, and other local Puerto Rico food places. Walking distance from Villa Escape is 10 minutes.

There are a few super markets 5-10 minutes away from Villa Escape. They are: Supermax, Pueblo, Agranel, Econo. There are also various pharmacies, Walgreens, CVS, Walmart, Food less than 10 mile radius of Villa Escape. We are able to provide more direction if needed upon arrival.
