Lots of people know Barton Springs for the fresh cold spring fed pool but not as many know Deep Eddy. The only difference is a solid bottom vs Barton Springs Natural bottom. Make sure you grab some Jim Jims on the way out!

He has done custom work for the likes of Willy Nelson and Sandra Bullock and is nationally known for his work and shows in famous New York galleries. Go inside and say hello and grab one of his awesome designs via a t-shirt for a good souvenir.

P. Terry's is like Austin's In and Out. Except they use quality ingredients like grass fed beef and have veggie burgers and other healthy options like wheat buns plus its open late and the lemonade is amazing!

Its generally pretty warm here in Texas
Even if its dead winter, check the weather before you come and make sure you have layers incase a 32 degree morning goes to an 80 degree sunny day. Texas weather can change quickly! Always pack a swim suit, you never know!

A lot of businesses and restaurants here are pretty casual. We like to dress up sometimes for special occasions but generally people are pretty laid back.

If your staying in an air bnb with a kitchen grab a few light groceries and snacks from local Texas grocery chain and make a dinner with your crew one night.

Texas loves their cars
Lots of people drive here, lucky for you then you don't have to! Its easy to get a Lyft to and from central and surround areas. We also have many other forms of transportation in Austin including rental scooters, bikes, buses. We do have a train but its not probably not going anywhere you are looking to go. However, there is an Amtrak stop in Austin if you prefer taking scenic routes around Texas. We do recommend a rental car if exploring other areas of Texas while here. There are many cool day trips you can take from Austin like floating the shortest river in the world in New Braunfels or seeing the Alamo in San Antonio.
