One of our favorite restaurants in Bushwick. Great cocktails (try the Falcon Lake Incident), draft beer (they have Downeast cider), small plates (we recommend the crispy cauliflower, eggplant haloumi sandwich, burger, razor clams, seared tuna w/ duck fried rice). Fresh ricotta doughnuts!

Very close to home. Hole in the wall. Good vegan and vegetarian fare but on the heavy side (a lot of frying). Not much atmosphere so consider take out. Try the fried cauliflower, banh mi sandwich, jackfruit sandwich.

They only use good quality ingredients and it shows. Try their pork belly sandwich, served on a delicious house made pretzel roll. About a 20 minute walk from the house.

It's a very easy subway ride from the house, about 25 minutes on the J line and right by the Delancey / Essex subway stop.
