The Standard East is probably best known for two things: the location of the Narcissa restaurant owned by André Balazs and Chef John Fraser with amazing food; and also the ongoing photographic playground of Purple magazine editor Olivier Zahm who regularly hangs out there. You might find him at the bar one morning eating two poached eggs and a side of spinach. I highly recommend.

It is among the few contemporary art museums worldwide exclusively devoted to presenting contemporary art from around the world. Their rotation of emerging to mid-career and established artists is second to none. I'm so lucky to live nearby and visit regularly.

The restaurant downstairs is also fantastic for Aruvedic food. Will leave you feeling really fantastic!

This place is a bit iconic. And totally luxy. Gwenyth Paltrow's Goop describes it as: "They’ve got every treatment under the sun here, at a range of prices. If you’re not looking for a massage or facial, just book the water lounge and spend the day between the pool, the sauna, and the jacuzzi. It’s fun to do with friends." Or, a lover! Or even .... go by yourself! I go here by myself all the time and just adore it. Try every kind of facial.
