Never disappointed with anything we've had here. Hands down one of my favorite authentic Mexican food places around. Definitely my favorite Mexican seafood. All the filet dishes are to die for. We love the diablo sauce. I suggest the filet Bahia parm and add a side of the diablo sauce! Delicious All the shrimp is great too. The chilaquiles are scrumptious as well and hope to go back for breakfast some time soon. Flan is dense and full of flavor. Love it. Will not be disappointed

Established in 1989. Started in 1989 as a market and deli. Recently went through a renovation. Opened up the front with bi fold doors and fully exposed kitchen. Beautiful Moroccan tiles on the new pita oven and a loft for more private dining.

Along with many vegetarian dishes, Ruta's also serves white breast of chicken, turkey, albacore tuna and assorted lean deli meats. Our salad dressings are fresh and house made and our condiments are low in fat. As usual, we use only the finest and freshest fruits and vegetables.

Arts & Culture

Founded in 1936 by the City of Santa Ana through a bequest from Charles and Ada Bowers, the Bowers Museum is one of California's finest and Orange County's largest museums. In 1986, the museum closed its doors for a period of self-study. In response to community needs and input, it reopened in 1992 as a new cultural center, and expanded children's programming in 1994 with the opening of the Kidseum. The museum also recently celebrated the grand opening of the 30,000+ square-foot Dorothy and Donald Kennedy Wing in February 2007. To achieve its mission, the Bowers offers exhibitions, lectures, art classes, travel programs, children's art education programs, and other special community programs.

Commissioned at an original cost of $35,000, the Muckenthaler home was built by Walter and Adella Muckenthaler in 1924 atop a hill in Fullerton. The 18-room, 8.5-acres mansion was donated to the city in 1965 by Harold Muckenthaler, who wished to see his childhood home used as a cultural center for the public. In 1999, the Muckenthaler received designation by the National Register of Historic Places. In its 54th year, the Muck produces more than 60 performances, gallery exhibits, festivals and special events; and more than 3,500 hours of arts education classes at the Muck and in 25 outreach sites serving more than 41,000 people every year. We also host more than 75 weddings and corporate events. Our awards and accolades include the 2009 Fullerton Chamber of Commerce Quality of Life award for best non-profit organization in the city, the 2010 Arts Program of the Year award from Arts Orange County, and past reader’s poll awards from OC Parentingfor Best Historic Site. The Orange County Museum of Art enriches the lives of a diverse and changing community through modern and contemporary art. The museum opened in 1962 as the Balboa Pavilion Gallery by thirteen visionary women. With a focus on modern and contemporary art, their efforts were well received and the museum enjoyed recognition from coast to coast. In 1968 the institution became known as the Newport Harbor Art Museum and in 1972, moved to a nearby, larger location. Interest and support continued to grow, as did its collections and exhibitions and in 1977, the museum opened its doors on San Clemente Drive. In 1997 the museum was remodeled and renamed the Orange County Museum of Art. In June 2018, the museum closed its doors in Newport Beach, and in October 2018 opened its temporary location in Santa Ana in South Coast Plaza Village where the museum will operate as it builds a permanent home at Segerstrom Center for the Arts.
