Google this place. Super unique for its White Mole dishes. Very rare in NYC and the US. Also read about their activism. A bit pricey but one of those rare places that are not only popular but really good.

Authentic Mexican. This is literally just around the corner. Take a left from the apt then a left on Willis. It is small and you can eat there but I recommend calling in your order and walking over to pick it up. Cheap, filling, and good nachos for $10. Love the tacos and chile rellenos (stuffed peppers with cheese).

Easy subway to get here. Take the #2 subway at 149th and Third Ave (on the other side of 149th; no access for that direction from the near side of 149th). Don’t catch the #5 because that will leave you at Grand Central Station not Times Square. From home take a left, then a right on Willis and walk to 149th.
