Skateboard Parks
The small skatepark at Shady Rest Park is a perfect place for beginners and small kids (with supervision) to test their balance and talents on smooth surfaces and a variety of mellow features. There's a pyramid, a bowled quarter pipe, a flat down flat rail and a road barrier with a transition. Between the old-growth Jeffrey pines and the grassy playing fields, the setting is peaceful and shady. There are restrooms, water, picnic tables and a playground nearby. Bikes are welcome too!

Volcom Brothers Skate Park
1390 Meridian BlvdThe Volcom Brothers Skatepark at Trails End Park is one of the best skateparks in the West. The concrete surfaces are well maintained by the town and local volunteers, and super smooth. The setting is unparalleled, with ancient Jeffrey pines, sage and grand views of the Sherwins.
Features include a pro performance bowl, a cradle that allows for full inversions, a great upper-deck flow section, unique hand-molded “pool” coping, a street section with a Euro gap, plus creative artwork.
There are also bathrooms, water fountains, a bus stop and a kids' playground nearby.
Paddleboarding
Stand-up paddling on Lake Mary is an unforgettable experience with clear water, spectacular views of Crystal Crag and the Mammoth Crest, and plenty of room to explore. There are multiple locations for launching on the north and south shores. For glassy water start early in the day—the earlier the better—before the afternoon winds kick up. Paddle out to the middle of the lake to get beyond long-casting fisherman. Be aware of other boaters.
Explore the snags along the southeast shore for a chance to see bald eagles or osprey fishing for trout.
Note: Lake Mary is a source of drinking water, so no swimming allowed!

Lake Mary

Horseshoe Lake is a perfect lake for beginners to test out their paddleboarding skills. The water level varies wildly from spring to fall and from year to year; in dry seasons, especially late summer or fall, be prepared for a long hike down the sandy beach from the parking area to the water. Horseshoe is more protected from wind than other lakes in the Basin, but you'll always find the glassiest water early in the morning.
The beach here is also a popular dog play area – bring your pet and let him/her ride or swim alongside your board!

Woolly’s Tube Park & Snow Play is all-time fun for all ages with a large snow play area and a heated deck with snack bar offering hot cocoa and adult beverages. With six groomed tubing lanes, outdoor heaters, and lifts to whisk you to the top, the whole family will enjoy this modern twist on a classic adventure. Take the ride of your life on a specially designed snow tube and be back to the top within minutes for another run! Families with small children can sculpt a snowman, ride sleds, or enjoy Woolly's Tube Rotondo (Merry-Go-Round) in the snow play area. Tubers must be 42" or taller.
Tube park tickets are valid for 1-hour and 15-minute session. The tube park typically opens early winter, weather permitting.
