Il est situé dans la plaine d'Oletta ou « Conca d'Oro » dans le Nebbio, à 6 kilomètres environ à « vol d'oiseau » au S-SE de Saint-Florent, en majeure partie sur la commune d'Oletta. Seules deux infimes parties méridionales appartiennent à Olmeta-di-Tuda.
Une route permet d'y accéder depuis la D 82, il est agréable de s'y balader à pied et à vélo mais il n'est pas possible d'en faire le tour complet.

You can access from the D82 and take nice walks or bike rides around it. It is not possible to go around the lake completely, you will have to turnaround at some point.
