Twists on your warm coffee with mushroom brews and butter coffee as well as the best banana bread you can wrap your mouth around. Be sure to try the fish tacos for lunch and now some epic pizzas for dinner next door in the PM

This is one of the best if not the best cafe in the Byron area. My personal favourite is the Brisket burger with sweet potato for lunch if you haven’t had enough of the açai bowls and smoothies at breakfast. Organic treats and really good coffee at no shortage here too.

A short drive out of Byron is Doma Japanese, the best Japanese food I’ve ever had. They play live music on weekends in a really nice courtyard and some amazing food to be had. All Japanese chefs at work and a definite must try if you are a foodie. There are some other funky plant and pottery shops in the area whilst you are visiting.

Perfect place for a stroll around at lunch with farm animals, a plant store, and some amazing food. The Farm grows a lot of their own food insitu which they serve in some of their meals. A good spot to take the the Sunflower photo for instagram!

A superb little locally owned supermarket with some amazing produce and everything you need, located in the estate in Suffolk Park. Now has a little coffee van set up out the front too.

A hip Asian fusion spot for lunch and dinner with a very nice selection of wines and cocktails. If you jump on First Table, you can snag an early table and 50% of your bill for a small group.

One of the most easterly points in Australia and a superb walk from the main centre of Byron, as well as one of the best spots to see the sun set in the area if you don’t mind a slight crowd.

One sight that is definitely worth a short drive out of Byron Bay is the Mount Warning hike. It takes about 1.5 hours each way for a fit individual with some pretty heavy incline but winds through an amazing bush track culminating in a harder steep finish to put you at the first place that sees the sun rise in Australia.

A great spot to hang at sunset with live musicians and buskers setting up free performances. Also some really good surf to be had off the shipwreck. Main beach offers a really nice long walk towards The Pass which is a great wave for learning to surf.

One of my favourite beaches in the area. Has a great wave for a long board or paddle board and if you have some money to splurge have lunch at Rae’s for spoil.

An interesting sight to see a short drive out of Byron Bay towards Lennox Head. The water is a discoloured brown which doesn’t look very inviting but jump in for a dip and your skin will feel amazing from the Tea Tree oils that have leeched out of the Tea Trees into the water.

Tallows is at the northern end of the long beach that runs all the way down to Broken Head at the southern end. It usually has pumping waves and is a top spot for a sun bake. Tallows is also known by locals to host bush doofs or beach parties at random times of the year if you keep your ear to the ground. Sometimes the sand is hard enough near the water line to ride bikes the whole way along the beach which is a really nice activity on dusk.

When it is breaking, one of the best waves in the area with a long right hand wave that will satiate the thirst for a good wave! A cute little town with some nice shops worth checking out in the main st.

These guys offer some good adventuring out to Julian Rocks and Byron surrounds for a fun day on the water where you are more than likely to see some dolphins and potentially whales in the right season being May to November.

This is an easy half day trip a short drive out of Byron Bay to Tintenbar to walk a short way through a bush track and arrive at a beautiful rock formation with an epic waterfall that flows pretty much all year round.
