This quintessential old time baseball league evokes what America is all about. A team of the Cape Cod Baseball League which is the farm team for the Major Leagues uses wooden bats to train the hopefuls who straight out of college hope to be signed to a major league baseball team. There is no charge, great visibility and lots of fun at these games. If you have kids, its a must. They bring gloves and try to get foul balls . Also the Hyannis Harbor Hawks , another team, 15 minutes away provides a bigger venue and night games two blocks off Main Street Hyannis.

Food scene

Wimpy's started selling hamburgers 6 decades ago and now is the best all around restaurant and meeting place in the village, It has a to go menu from its adjacent Seafood Market of prepared dinners to eat at home ,as well as fresh fish and shellfish and great clam chowder. But its restaurant open for lunch and dinner is a wonderful tavern and colonial style restaurant with a green house side that offers obviously great seafood.
