While I know you may be here to see the Wine Country or beautiful San Francisco, the Vallejo Farmers Market is not to be missed for a wonderful sense of the vibrancy of this community, spectacular produce, good food, amazing produce, fresh Bagels, local honey, and more! If you are here on a special holiday this is often celebrated at the Farmers market!

Nothing fancy but a good place to go in a pinch if you need milk or an onion etc. I would not recommend most of the produce though bananas and onions and salad greens in a box can be okay.

For a cute day trip you can hike in the hills behind the village and then have an early supper or cocktail. The entrance to the trail winds up the hills from the parking lot at the end of town. also don't miss peeking in the other wacky neighborhood bars and businesses.

I highly recommend visiting this historic Napa winery and Contemporary Art collection. This is a 40 minute, beautiful drive away. Make a reservation in advance for a free tour of the museum, or a paid private wine tasting. The collection is excellent and the location is beautiful.
