Recommendarrations Lanzaquiqrote
Hello, here are some personal recommendations for things to see and do in Lanzarote.
This webpage is pretty good: http://www.minube.com/que_ver/espana/lanzarote, there you can see photos and places on the island that are very interesting.
And these are my personal recommendations. First of all i must say that during my last visit to the island i discovered "El Almacen" in Arrecife, is only a few minutes away from the appartment and is a really good place to have something to eat and drink.
I hope this recommendations help you to enjoy the island.

Famara beach, north of the island, is a long beach, wide, under a great cliff and next to a very peculiar village. I highly recommend visiting this beach, be aware of the weather because on this beach (that is on the north of the island) weather is not allways good, also try to be careful with tides as some times is quite strong.

Beaches Of Papagayo, south of the island, are a series of coves small beaches known as “calas”. These are near Playa Blanca, highly recommended, there is almost always good weather, depending of the time of the year some of the “calas” may be a bit crowed but usually it as really nice place to be and spend the whole day.

These are near Playa Blanca, highly recommended, there is almost always good weather, depending of the time of the year some of the “calas” may be a bit crowed but usually it as really nice place to be and spend the whole day.
Caleton Blanco, are a series of white sandy beaches in the north of the island. In the way to orzola, there are several Caletones which can be seen from the road, any of them can be very good, you have to be careful with the weather and the tides as with all northern beaches.

Playa de Arrieta, the beach town of Arrieta is a little far but it is a great choice if you want to visit the north of the island, it is advisable to eat a little fish with mojo if this part of the island visit, my favorite is fish is the cherne.

Barranco delp Quiquere, between Puerto del Carmen and Puerto Calero, these cliff are the favorite ones of the local people who want to be quiet and calm places. warning, there is no sand and although access is enabled it may not be an easy acces for old people. You must be careful with the sea and the tides while swimming here. By the way, there may be some people doing nudity or topless.

You must be careful with the sea and the tides while swimming here. By the way, there may be some people doing nudity or topless.
Mirador del Rio, the views from el “mirador del rio” are my particular favorite.it is for me one of the most beautiful places on the island, offers a view from the top of the cliff of famara where we can see the Archipelago Chinijo, on a clear day is an impressive sight.

Timanfaya, This national park offers the less a peculiar landscape, highly recommended see, advice, go early in the morning because sometimes queue is formed to enter the natural reserve.

House of Cesar Manrique, house-museum of artist César Manrique in Tahiche, the architectural concept is quite similar to Jameos del Agua. It is very interesting to see how trying to integrate your own home with nature.

Salinas Janubio near Playa Blanca, this salt facility is a vestige of another time. Stunning colors of this place at sunset, one of my favorite, is very close to the “hervideros” and the Gulf.

The Gulf / Lake Verde: one of the places to be visited on the island of Lanzarote, waking along the beach can be a great experience, the colors of this place certainly are also impressive. It is another good place to eat fresh fish.
