Great Things to do
These are places we like to go.
One thing to do...if you can get up early enough for the sunrise...on a clear or semi-clear day you could witness one of the many painted sunrises we get to see over the foothills and Mt. Rainier. You can always go back to bed....usually the best ones are when there are just a few high clouds especially around Mt. Rainier.

Believe it or not...this is fun place to walk through. There is great furniture but its all of the quirky collections of animatronic people and fixtures throughout the connected buildings. There is a model train set that weaves around on multiple tracks overhead.

If you like just about any classic cars, this is the place to visit. The building is only a few years old but is filled with some of the most iconic cars from history.

I nice walk around the pond, feed the ducks some stale bread. Playground is a great place for the kids to burn off some energy. Also tennis courts and baseball field across the street with miles of walking trails through the woods.

My husband and I both went to this park from the time we were young (Enchanted Village back then - expanded to Wild Waves). This is the Washington premier them park for the entire state. It is also open in October for Fright Fest (Halloween themed) and for Christmas time with thousands of lights and rides.
This was our kids favorite childhood park. Huge storybook trees, green grass, a great play set and zip line, basket ball courts. A great time.

Bonney Lake is a small city that is quickly growing. I note this mainly so you can drive on a clear day up Highway 410 and go East towards Mt. Ranier. As you reach the top of the hill (we know as Eli Hill) you crest the hill and Mt. Ranier is as big as can be, it is framed by the trees and absolutely incredible. Just really cool to see if you want one of the best views of the biggest Mountains in the lower 48.

Both are great starting points for short or long hikes or expeditions. Many mountaineers use paths along these routes to scale Mt. Ranier's peak.

There are 2 different public parks at either end of the lake. This is a very popular summer hang out. Get there early and stake your spot. Boat launches are at either park with large grass areas right at the waters edge. The lake is known for being warmer than your average lake in the summer time. It is a breathtaking location with Mt. Rainier hovering over the lake. A great spot on a summer day with some cold drinks and snacks.
