About 10 minutes drive from Kfar Hananya, this restaurant is just off the 85 road to Karmiel at the entrance to the Arab village of Rama. This restaurant is open all week. (Restaurants in the Jewish areas are usually closed on Friday afternoon and sometimes also Saturday.)

There are many restaurants in Akko but the ones catering to tourists are not always the best. Gallery Samaan is not on the beach front and may not look so inviting from the outside, but it is a place where Israelis eat. It's clean and pleasant inside (there's a 2nd floor which yu can see in the photo), the food is good, the menu is in English as well as Hebrew and the prices are clearly marked.

Five minutes from Kfar Hananya on the 85 road driving west, there is a goat dairy farm with a country-style restaurant serving delicious home-made goat cheeses, salads and fresh bread. We recommend their breakfasts which are served until 12.00 every day. On Saturdays, it's worth booking a table in advance because it's their busiest day - so be patient if the service is a little slow!

A pleasant restaurant in the area of the shopping mall in Karmiel. Steaks are good, although a little pricey. If you don't want anything on the meat menu, there is an option for salmon. On Mondays, there's a 1+1 offer on hamburger and chips.

This is a fish restaurant for foodies, situated in the port of Akko, near the lighthouse. It's not cheap, but the fish is fresh and well-cooked. Uri (the guy with the long, grey beard) is well-known for his restaurant, which has been open for many years.

This restaurant is situated in the old part of Rosh Pinna, at the top of the hill, with a great view over the valley below (ask for a table with a view). There is a varied menu and it's also open on Saturdays. If you don't want a meal, you can just order a hot drink and one of their home-made cakes.

In Haifa you can find many restaurants along Ben Gurion Boulevard below the Bahai Gardens, but this is my favourite. Don't be deceived by the name - this is a Mediterranean-style restaurant. Reasonably-priced, good food and good service.

A middle-eastern restaurant which tourists don't know about. It's about a 5-minute drive from Kfar Hananya in the direction of Mughar (pronounced Mr'aar). Take a right at the top of the hill before driving into the centre of the town just past the mini-market selling fruit, vegetables and various basics.
