Legacy Ridge is the old Owen Sound Golf Course, a true links course, with a restaurant overlooking the bay, and much more affordable than Cobble Beach.

From Cyprus Lake or Bruce Peninsula National Park, you can hike the Bruce Trail to the Grotto and all the way to Tobermory. The pebbled beach is fantastic and the deep water is very clear. Cyprus Lake is warm for swimming too.

Excellent Georgian Bay whitefish and lake trout caught wild, and Manitoulin-farmed rainbow trout comes in on Wednesdays. We love the pickerel when available and the smoked fish made at the store too.

Fabulous hike along the Bruce Trail to Lion's Head Rock and another 45 minutes down to MacKay's Harbour for a swim on a private beach. My favourite hike to take friends and relatives for the magnificent views from the escarpment edge.

In Hope Bay, this part of the Bruce Trail is walkable from the cottage and can easily be followed by a swim at the large sandy beach or back at the cottage when summer days are hot. There are a number of looping hike options using the blue side trails too, and this part of the trail is much less travelled than the hike to Lion's Head Rock.
