A great place to have some chicken wings and watch a sporting event (great place to watch a Colombian Soccer national team game) or simply have a drink. Try to secure a table outside to see the vivid local activity passing by. On that street, there are several other food and drink choices. They have promotions of 2x1 all the time just ask the server. Perfect place to start your night.

Perfect place to come and DANCE SALSA in Cali.
If your level is amateur, medium or professional this place is perfect for you.
Here you can meet people from everywhere and the ambiance is super relaxed and friendly. By far the best traditional salsa club of the city.
Long ago Cali salsa places were like Tin, Tin Deo is now a days. (Those were my mother's words)
Definitely a must to visit place in Cali.
Best time to arrive is between 10:30 and 11:00 the place charges a cover, but you can consume most of the value inside, so the cover is almost free. You don't need to dress super fancy just regular nice clothing is enough.
Once you made it upstairs, go to the bar and exchange the value of your cover for some drinks. I recomend to hang out around the bar and just ask nicely peolple to dance with you, most of the people who go there love dancing and dancing with an "stranger" is totally OK there ( which is not the case in other places in Cali) so if salsa is your thing and you don't mind dancing with nice people all night, Tin, Tin Deo is the place to go.
Note: The place is like 10 to 13 minutes (depending on the traffic) away from the apartment and the Uber ride is relatively cheap, just mention Tin, Tin Deo to your Uber driver, is located over Calle 5 near by the Exito Store.
I advice to request an Uber when you are ready to go home.

Aquí puede conocer gente de todas partes y el ambiente es muy relajado y agradable. De seguro, el mejor club de salsa tradicional de la ciudad.
Hace mucho tiempo en Cali los lugares para bailar salsa eran como Tin Tin Deo lo es hoy en día. (Esto me lo dijo mi mama)
Sin duda, un lugar de visita obligada en Cali.
La mejor hora para llegar es entre las 10:30 y las 11:00 el lugar cobra entrada pero se puede consumir la mayor parte del valor en el interior, por lo que la entrada es casi que gratis.
No es necesario vestir súper lujosamente sólo una ropa bonita es suficiente.
Una vez que estes en el piso de arriba, anda a la barra y cambie el valor de la entrada por algunas bebidas.
Le recomiendo pasar el rato en el bar y simplemente caminar por el lugar y preguntar de una manera cortes el bailar, la mayoría de las personas que van allí les encanta bailar. Y el bailar con un "extraño" es totalmente bien visto (Lo cual no es el caso en otros lugares de Cali)
Por lo que si la salsa es lo suyo y no le importa bailar con gente agradable durante toda la noche, Tin Tin Deo es el lugar que debes ir.
Nota: El lugar queda como a 10 o 13 minutos (dependiendo del tráfico) de distancia del apartamento y el cargo de Uber es relativamente barato, simplemente acuerdate de mencionar Tin Tin Deo a tu conductor de Uber y decile que se encuentra sobre la calle 5 cerca de la tienda Exito. Definitely one of favorite spots in the city, and the best thing is that not many people know about this "ancient hidden gem"
The bar is located within about 4 to 6 minutes Uber/Taxi ride from the apartment, (depending on the traffic) you must to tell the driver that the place is in San Antonio, if both of you get "lost" just ask a local resident, "where La Colina Bar is" once you are in the area. (Cali people are very friendly and laid back and have not problem to let you know where a place is located. So, don't be afraid of asking if you are in doubt where you are)
To me, La Colina is one of those places where you have to stop for a beer and have also the famous "Cali empanadas" while you are in Cali. It’s a local watering hole, that has been in operation since 1942, which I’m pretty sure makes it win the title as oldest bar in the city, that’s still in operation. I don’t think much has changed since the bar opened its doors for the first time. When you step inside the place, it’s like stepping back in time. Ancient decor, dim lighting, rustic furniture, and a bartender that could have been your great grandfather, come together to create an ambience not found in any other place in Cali. Also the server an old school Cali gentleman called Fanor is just the man of the hour. ( do not get upset if "Don Fanor gets more attention from the ladies than you do, or if you companion felt in love with him)
The full name of the place is La Colina Tienda Tertuliadero. La Colina means “the hill”. Tienda Tertuliadero is a little more tricky. Tienda translates to “shop” or “store”. Tertuliadero means that it’s a place to meet up with friends, have a drink and talk about art, culture, history, etc.
(remember the Caleno cultural thing called "tertulia")
It’s a great place to start your night out. The place begins to fill up just after dinner, and I suggest that you arrive early as well if you want a table. The crowd is usually a mix of artists, intellectuals, hipsters and tourists. Aside from your Pokers, Clubs and Aguila beers, they also have craft beer on tap – a little luxury in a country where micro-brewing is still in its very infancy. Moreover, they sell the famous "Cali empanadas" a typical food from Cali.
The ambiance of this place is completely relaxed and nobody is trying to impress you with touristic bla, bla and so on. So be ready to have a lovely evening.
La Colina is a hidden treasure and part of Cali’s cultural heritage. How often do you get a chance to combine culture, history and beer drinking in Colombia? I advise against leaving the city without paying a visit to this little bar first.
One thing to keep on mind, the place close relatively early 11:55. One more thing, the prices are amazing!!!

Sin duda, uno de los lugares favoritos de la ciudad, y lo mejor es que no mucha gente sabe acerca de esta "joya escondida antigua"
El bar se encuentra dentro de aproximadamente 4 a 6 minutos de viaje / Taxi Uber del apartamento, (dependiendo del tráfico) que debe decirle al conductor que el lugar está en San Antonio, si ambos se "pierde" simplemente pedir un local residente ", donde la Colina Bar es" una vez que esté en la zona. Cuando entre en el lugar, es como retroceder en el tiempo. decoración antigua, iluminación tenue, muebles rústicos, y un camarero que podría haber sido su bisabuelo, se unen para crear un ambiente que no se encuentra en ningún otro lugar en Cali. También el servidor de una escuela vieja Cali caballero llamado Fanor es sólo el hombre del momento. (No se moleste si "Don Fanor recibe más atención por parte de las mujeres que usted, o si compañera se enamoró de él)
El nombre completo del lugar es La Colina Tienda Tertuliadero. Tertuliadero significa que es un lugar para reunirse con amigos, tomar una copa y hablar sobre el arte, la cultura, la historia, etc.
Es un gran lugar para comenzar la noche. El lugar comienza a llenarse justo después de la cena, y sugiero que llegar temprano, así que si quieres una mesa. El público suele ser una mezcla de artistas, intelectuales, gente linda y visitantes.
Una cosa mas, los precios son buenisimos, tenes que ir!!!!

If you are a nature lover and want to have a sample of the rich vegetation of the region.
I suggest you to visit the "Ecoparque Bataclan", which is located on the east side of Cerro de las Tres Cruces, just a few minutes from Sixth Avenue. ( Remember Sixth Avenue is the main avenue near by the apartment)
To me is amazing to have a natural reserve right in the middle of the city, I am sure you never expect to be a couple of blocks away from a Andean natural reserve.
This eco-park is visited by athletes, walkers and nature lovers for having multiple ecological trails and a maximum height of 1,250 meters above sea level.
The eco-park consists of 18 hectares of hilly land and has three trails: Los Eucaliptos, Barreras Vivas and Los Deportistas. At present the soil of the area is being recovering and has an extensive tree species.
Similarly, habitat favors the sighting of small birds and butterfly species of great importance. On this park, which is managed by the Dagma, is offered to the public environmental education programs, techniques of recycling and composting.
The best time to visit the park is in the mornings, plan ahead to be there early and make sure you are in the company of others, calculate the time you want to walk back and try to be back before 4:00 pm and get ready to have a cool drink or an ice cream near by the neighborhood.
NOTE: try no to bring excessive jewelry or unnecessary objects, put attention to cars when you are crossing the streets and remember that usually cars won't stop for you to pass, also do not forget to bring water ( tap water in Cali is 100% drinkable) and make sure you use sun block.

Para mí es increíble tener una reserva natural en el centro de la ciudad, estoy seguro de que nunca se te hubiera ocurrido que hay una a un par de cuadras.
Este eco-parque es visitado por atletas, caminantes y amantes de la naturaleza. Tiene múltiples senderos ecológicos y una altura máxima de 1.250 metros sobre el nivel del mar.
El parque ecológico integrado por 18 hectáreas de terreno montañoso tiene tres senderos: Los Eucaliptos, Barreras Vivas y deportistas.
Actualmente, el suelo de la zona está siendo Recuperado y tienen una extensiva variedad de arboles.
Del mismo modo, el hábitat favorece el avistamiento de aves pequeñas y especies de mariposas de gran importancia. Este parque es administrado por el Dagma, y ofrece los programas públicos de educación ambiental, técnicas de reciclaje y compostaje.
El mejor momento para visitar el parque es por las mañanas, planificate para estar allí temprano y asegurate de que estes en compañía de otros, calcula el tiempo que deseas ir y trata de estar de vuelta antes de las 4:00 pm despues de bajar del parque asegurate de tener una bebida fría o un helado en los multiples lugares que ofrece Santa Monica Residencial.

From its origins Cali has been intimate ligated to its River or "Rio Cali" how is called by its inhabitants.
The river has shaped, dictated and divided my beloved city since its begins. In fact the river divides the city and even the number of the streets are based on their proximity to the "Rio Cali"
If you are in the west part of the city, you must go to "El Museo La Tertulia" and walk around its back side in the penon area.
The museum has one of my favorite tree in the entire city and in its walls hosts all kind of cultural activities.
Once you visit the museum, go for a walk and shelter yourself from the heat in one of the many cafes and restaurants in the area. Sit there and admire the picturesque local scene.
Experience Cali like its inhabitants do, be a Caleno for the time being.

Once you are in San Antonio there are several choices to have tons of fun.

The modest San Antonio chapel was built atop the hill that overlooks the neighborhood in 1747, and the colorful houses and shops soon followed. The neighborhood became a kind of caleño version of Greenwich Village, historically home to some of the region’s most important and idiosyncratic artists, writers, musicians and thinkers, including 19th-century poet and novelist Jorge Isaacs, who lived just around the corner from the park for many years. Si se encuentra en Cali Usted debe ir a San Antonio, es simplemente uno de los iconos más emblemáticos de la ciudad.
El lugar queda a 5 o 8 minutos (dependiendo del tráfico) en Uber/ taxi del apartamento.
Recomiendo ir allí y simplemente pasear, teniendo en cuenta ir a la colina de la antigua iglesia.
Un lugar perfecto para tener un agradable rato y comer algo delicioso o simplemente tomar una copa en los numerosos restaurantes de los alrededores.
