Beautiful glen for short or long walks. Follow the River Nevis up to Steall Waterfall - and cross the metal rope bridge if you dare. The Glen is the last section on the long distance walk "The West highland Way".

Sightseeing

Substantial ruins of 13th-century castle on the banks of River Lochy, that was backdrop for Inverlochy battles. Walk back along towards Inverlochy Village and watch anglers fishing for salmon on the river, or cross the footbridge and walk beside the A830 to Neptune's Staircase, a staircase lock comprising eight locks on the Caledonian Canal. Built by Thomas Telford, it is the longest staircase lock in Britain.
