Higher end comfort food with great cocktails. I would make a reservation especially on Fri and Sat. Try the Roasted Brussel Sprouts and Smoked Beets. Wow, the combination flavor is incredible!

Acero has creative Italian food, in a comfortable atmosphere. The Fregola and Egg Ravioloi are amazing. You seldom see white anchovies on a menu but Acero has them. The $35 menu is a value.

I will usually call in my order for pick up. I recommend the spicy and try the fried pickles!

Traditional dive bar geared more towards the alternative crowd with excellent food. The menus are all plastered inside old vinyl sleeves and they have a projector that hangs to the side of the bar that was plays mainly cult classics.

The food here is fantasticI You can't beat the Tuesday $10 beer, bourbon, and burger deal. They make what is probably my favorite burger in town. I've had several other things from the menu as well and have never been disappointed. Service has always been great for me.

Hi-Pointe Drive-In is a great burger/sandwich joint. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Try a shake, I was sucking strawberry chunks through the wide straw. Very yummy!

This new addition to the Maplewood's small business joint is a breath of fresh air. Though it offers some duck breast options, you can get other things like burgers or chicken. It also has lunch specials, including on weekends.

Robata is a go to place for sushi and ramen. They have a variety of vegetarian options, including veggie broth. Small on the inside but has a good sized patio if the weather is right.
So this is what you do when you come in:
1) Choose the cut of noodles (regular = no surcharge)
2) Choose Chicken, Veggie, or Pork Broth. If you can't and don't eat pork, this is one of the few options in STL to get a non-pork broth. They also can give you pulled chicken - instead of pork slices.
3) Choose (Salt vs. Soy Base, light broth vs. dark broth)
4) Add any optional toppings. Free toppings are Nori (Seaweed) and fried garlic. Do this.

1. Do the outside stuff early in the morning. 2. Wear knee pads or pants 3. For the caves, you may want a headlamp or flash light to give your kiddos. 4. Do the rooftop at least once.
