Breakfast & Lunch

Local cafes we recommend to grab some breakfast or lunch.
Much larger than our closer St James Park, Lloyds Park has more play areas for kids and the bonus of a cafe with toilet and changing facilities. It's also located next to the William Morris Gallery.

Arts & Culture

One of my favourite places in Walthamstow. A visual feast which can be reached on foot with a nice walk through Walthamstow village. They also have a cafe now which serves cake, coffee and booze. A tucked away gem on a random industrial estate. For more info go to - http://www.godsownjunkyard.co.uk

Local Pubs

Our favourite local pubs, great for food and Sunday roast dinners.
The Chequers is our regular drinking spot. Especially on Sundays with our neighbours. The pub is family friendly, plays sport on occasions, serves great food and books great DJs. And all with a 15 minute walk home. The perfect duration to walk off a roast dinner! :)

This is my favourite pub for dinner. Lovely food. Really cosy atmosphere, located in Walthamstow village so just a 15-20 minute walk (uphill there and downhill back). Great for people watching.

Fab little bar that serves lovely cocktails within 10 minutes walking from our house. They’re not open all the time so we recommend checking their website for up to date details.

Parks & Nature

Right on our doorstep at on 5-10 minutes walk away. A very basic park but great for kids to run off some energy, or, to go for a quick jog round. I loved this place during maternity leave.

Local Grocery Stores

Places nearby to grab food and other grocery essentials.
The ASDA petrol station (recently changed from a CoOp store) is just 5 minutes from our house. It has the benefit of being open 24 hours and has all the basic items you need. We end up shopping there a lot as it’s so close, but being part of a petrol station the prices are a little inflated.

Dinner Spots

Local eateries that we like to grab dinner from.
There are a few Turkish restaurants in Walthamstow, most are good, but we like Bodrum Kitchen as it’s reasonably priced and a short walk from home. Really friendly staff great portions and reasonably priced.
