The Lobethal Archives and Historical Museum is a German Pioneer Museum with displays and exhibits telling the story of both the German and English history of South Australia. Items on display include colonial artefacts from everyday life of the time including examples of needlecrafts and woodwork and numerous pictures of local industries and agriculture. The original Lutheran Church .It also contains a building within a building. In the 1960s a modern museum was built around the original Lutheran seminary, a half-timbered rendered building dating from 1845. Open by appointment only. There is a large variety of native species, living in generally excellent condition bush habitat. the park features two large reservoirs and tall stringybark forest with fern undergrowth. Go for a hike!
