Great Aussie place. Good meat, great kitchen. Australian based menu. Very popular with the locals for lunch and dinner. Nice place also for small kids/babies. They have a small play corner where you can have your coffee.

It’s a little bit further, but nice if you go more to the west side of Amsterdam. There’s a nice mix of cultures in the neighbourhood. Great breakfast and lunch. Good terrace on the Square on a sunny day.

Michelin Star restaurant! Chef Ron Blauw gave back the previous three stars he earned, because he wanted to go back to great food for everyone at a normal price in a relaxed atmosphere. After his first year with this ‘regular’ bar, he got one star back :) Great food. Small dishes. About €15,- a dish.

I wouldn't recommend to go see Amsterdam by car, but if you are visiting by car and you don't want to pay for parking (very expensive!!), you can drive to 'Laan van Vlaanderen'. A 5 minute drive from our house. Parking is still free in this neighborhood and you can take line 2 (tram) to 'Hoofddorpplein' to get to our home again.
I would highly recommend this option if you are traveling to Amsterdam by car, but are not planning to use it during your stay.

Laan van VlaanderenI wouldn't recommend to go see Amsterdam by car, but if you are visiting by car and you don't want to pay for parking (very expensive!!), you can drive to 'Laan van Vlaanderen'. A 5 minute drive from our house. Parking is still free in this neighborhood and you can take line 2 (tram) to 'Hoofddorpplein' to get to our home again.
I would highly recommend this option if you are traveling to Amsterdam by car, but are not planning to use it during your stay.
If you would like to rent a boat (be sure you can handle it :), boaty.nl is a good site to make reservations for reasonable price. It's a great way to discover Amsterdam!
