Food Scene
This place is fantastic. One part of the shop is Aladdin's cave of interesting pieces imported from Morocco, India, China and Japan, the other is a Moroccan styled cafe with leadlight lanterns, rugs, and mosaic outdoor furniture. I recommend ordering a mint tea, your waitress ( who is usually the owner) will pour it traditional Moroccan style from cute little teapots that are available to buy. A baklava will complete the experience. This is a great place for lunch, not expensive and they are open Friday nights for dinner. Sometimes there is music then and its a great time to relax and have a cocktail or two.

Lupos Kiln Cafe is a great place to have breakfast, a coffee and yummy cake or lunch. You can ride your bike there and the children can play in the playground while you relax and enjoy fresh, housemade pasta made by second generation Italians. The gnocchi with sage is amazing. The views in this cafe are of the old tobacco kilns owned by the family who own the cafe. In fact the cafe is built in the iconic style of the tobacco kilns that are indigenous to this area.

4994 Great Alpine RdThis pub is the closest to Rosewhite House and probably one of the best. Always busy when open, you are best to arrive early, or book as it fills really quickly. The food is great, I'm sure whatever you order, you won't be disappointed. Reasonable prices too.
This place is always open, the food is great and plenty of choices. You can't book usually, so in tourist season, especially summer and autumn, it can be very busy and you may miss out on a table. In the warmer weather its great to sit outside and the children can play in the enormous playground. I recommend putting them in bright colours as you will quickly lose sight of them as they run around. Order a beer paddle with as many tastings of beer as you can manage, there is about 12 to choose from the pale ale to chocolate flavoured Staircase Porter which contains real chocolate made in Bright. Often there is a local musician playing their original easy listening music on the weekends.

Great place to go for a wine taste, there is a huge list of wines to try. The food is fantastic. I recommend, booking lunch, come early, have a wine tasting and then enjoy a beautifully cooked meal matched wine. Very relaxing way to spend the day.

3897 Great Alpine RdGreat place to go for a wine taste, there is a huge list of wines to try. The food is fantastic. I recommend, booking lunch, come early, have a wine tasting and then enjoy a beautifully cooked meal matched wine. Very relaxing way to spend the day.
Sightseeing
This place is stunning and its free to visit. Near the top is the historic chalet, the largest wooden building in Victoria. Drive up the road, stop at the waterfalls along the way, have a refreshing swim in the natural pools, (be careful), then check out the breathtaking views from the car-park, or walk up to the horn. A lovely cool place to visit in the summer, you can hike and bike ride to the top and in the winter you can play in the snow for free. You will need an extra layer as it can be 10 degrees cooler or more. It is important to be careful, experienced hikers and sightseers have got lost and fallen here.

There are usually babies of some sort to watch and you can buy feed to feed the animals. Inside, is a gift shop and cafe/restaurant. The food is great, and I would order a meal or a devonshire tea and sit on the balcony on a sunny day or by the fire on a cooler day and enjoy the spectacular views of this restaurant. The mountain you can see from the balcony is Mount Feathertop which is gorgeous in winter covered in snow.
