Sightseeing

A must-see while in Ravello, easy access from the main square, breathtaking views and gorgeous gardens...they inspired the composer Richard Wagner to write the second act of the Parsifal!! Suggest you visit as they open in the morning, it's fresh, pleasant and no big crowds yet! For a romanitc walk visit about one hr before they close....and perfect if you are thinking to propose there! ; )

Parks & Nature

The "Infinity terrace" one of the most amazing views over the coast but what makes it most special is the setting, the gardens and trails in the park. It goes without saying...perfect if you think to propose!!

The Valle delle Ferriere is a place unique to this world. It can be easily reached on foot from Amalfi in about an hour. It is nice and cool even in the height of summer thanks to the waterfalls and streams running its length. The most interesting part is without doubt the Nature Reserve (Riserva Naturale Orientata), to be found at its centre. The marked trails that lead to this place are two. First one starts from Amalfi - Piazza Flavio Gioia (sentiero n. 325), the other one starts from Pontone - Piazza San Giovanni (sentiero n. 323a). You can download the maps on the offical web site of the trail of CAI dei Monti Lattari (www.caimontilattari.it).

Everything Else

Walk from the main square up via San Giovanni Del Toro, a lovely wide cobblestone staircase to the top of the hill and you'll eventually get to Principessa di Piemonte gardens to a nice view over the coast, sometime a little quiter than walking along Via Boccaccio therefore taking it all in more on a romantic level.
