Volcano
“Cratère volcanique à l'origine de l'Ile. Une fois en haut, par temps clair, la vue y est imprenable. La végétation y a repris ses droits.”

“We highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the Floréal area. Over the past two decades, La Clef des Champs has established itself as a landmark in the island’s gastronomic landscape. Jacqueline Dalais, the Chef, is known to be the Chef to the Stars! She has an impressive library of self-created recipes. ”

Flea Market
“The Quatre Bornes market is an experience if you want to explore Mauritius and how local people trade. Moreover you can do some souvenir shopping here and you can bargain, so you get a good price for them. The Quatre Bornes market is another attraction which does not cost you any money except from the souvenir shopping and the transport costs. Three really good reasons to go here during your holiday in Mauritius.”

Point of Interest
“A variety of products, mostly textile but also including shoes, table cloth, hair accessories, bags etc at really affordable prices. Advisable to bargain as prices are often not displayed and can vary for tourists. Quality will vary from one stall to another but a lot of the products are made for export so you can find high quality products at low prices. Also keep your belongings close as pickpockets can roam around - the market is usually quite packed and can be difficult to walk around, especially with children. Make sure to try the street food next door to the market. I recommend the rotis, dholl puri, alouda (drink), fried food like samosas, gateau piments and also pickled fruits”
