Beautifully restored Pre-Famine cottage. Listed on The Financial Times as a tranquil escape from the bustle of modern life. Rural setting surrounded by lacy stone walls, secluded gardens, and still on the outskirts of the cultural city of Galway.
Riding stables across the road and 9 hole golf course and driving range 1/2 mile away
  • Virkilega magnað sumarbústaður og var svo gaman að geta slakað á og samt svo nálægt borginni að þú getur notið alls þess sem Galway hefur upp á að bjóða. Takk fyrir

    Lorraine2019-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Svo, ef þú ert tilbúinn fyrir skoðunarferð í írska sögu, ef þú þarft að komast í burtu frá nútíma hringiðu en vilt halda uppi möguleikanum á kasti í borgarlífinu, þá ertu á réttum stað. Romain, Aileen og Deidre bjóða fallegt, vel viðhaldið sumarhús þar sem þú getur haft slappað af um leið og þú ferð inn. Hvernig það var gert fannst okkur eins og að vera í stórsal fyrir „Hobbits“. Það var svo vel útfært og hugsað. Þú finnur allt í lágmarks rými: stofu og borðstofu, eldhús og bað á jarðhæð og uppi í svefnherberginu. Okkur leið heima. Við nutum þess að sitja við arininn (rausnarlegt framboð með slökkviliðsmönnum og kubba), kóperið, Rustic vaskinum í eldhúsinu, rómantíska snertingin sem þú finnur hér og þar og hið glæsilega málverk af Dolores Keane fyrir ofan arininn sem raunverulega gerði herbergið. Við viljum snúa aftur hvenær sem er!

    Gaby2019-08-26T00:00:00Z

    Daniel2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Flott sumarbústaður á fallegum rólegum stað

    Mick2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Frábær staður - elskaði virkilega dvöl okkar í þessu fallega sumarbústað - mæli örugglega með.

Located on the Wild Atlantic Way, this converted 100 year old cow house has been newly renovated into a 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom apartment that sleeps 5 people comfortably.

Or on a rainy day sit in by the turf fire with a glass of wine or cup of hot cocoa..... Whatever you choose you will not be disappointed with your stay at Carley's Cottage
We are located in the heart of the Burren right on their Wild Atlantic Way. Just down the road is the beautiful Fanore beach where you can get surf lessons at Aloha surf school if you are feeling adventurous! 200 year old traditional thatched cottage with all modern conveniences , peaceful tranquil area 5 miles from Spiddal village, 16 miles from Galway city and is located along the Wild Atlantic Way. Perfect for couples or small families.
Our cottage is one of the few remaining thatched cottages that were once so common in Ireland. It is set in the picturesque area of Spiddal, Connemara, a Gaeltacht area where Irish is still the main language. Aran Islands, Connemara National Park & Galway city are all within easy reach to name but a few magnificent places to visit in the area. If you are looking for peace and tranquility then you will find it here. The only sounds you will hear are of the birds singing and the occasional bray of a donkey in the distance, a little piece of heaven on earth!! Galway city is 16 miles away and the nearest village of Spiddal is 5 miles away. Please note there is NO WiFi available at the cottage!!
The immediate surrounding area has lakes and mountains with breathtaking views all around. The cottage is located 5 miles from the sea (Spiddal)

This is a wooden chalet to the rear of our property that we use to accommodate family when visiting. The village of Spiddal is a 15minute walk away and Galway City is 12miles away. There is a bus service but having a car is probably best. It's a great base for exploring Galway and Connemara etc. No WIFI
There are two bedrooms, a bathroom and an open plan kitchen dining room. It's suitable for up to four people. We are just next door so if you have forgotten anything just ask as there is a good chance that we have it. There is a TV with lots of channels, a radio, lots of books and some games but NO WIFI.
We are up a busy little boreen off the main road, it's a nice place to walk, you will meet donkeys, cows, horses and many of the neighbourhood dogs.

This is a bright, spacious, comfortable accommodation. Only a 20 minute walk to the beach/village and 25 minute drive to the city. A perfect place to stay along The Wild Atlantic Coast, with plenty of things to do and see, a simple drive through the breathtaking Connemara landscapes, catching a ferry to Aran Islands or scenic walks. A huge amount of places to choose from to eat and drink, locally and in the city. Spiddal and Galway are truly stunning, a perfect way to experience Ireland.
Your private room is within our family home. The house is pretty big so your room is very private and you won't hear from us. We don't charge a cleaning fee so would ask that you leave the property as you find it. You have your own entrance to the front of the house. Although there is no access to the kitchen, there are tea and coffee making facilities in the room (tea, coffee and sugar provided). There are plates, cutlery and glasses etc for wine or beer and a mini fridge for milk, snacks and sandwiches. There is also a small storage cupboard for cereals/bread etc. Strictly no access to upstairs.

Caught the furðulegur sólsetur þar.
